Christmas: Ethiopians Celebrate Christmas on 7th January

Unlike the rest of the world which celebrates Christmas on December 25, Ethiopians, Eritreans, and other Coptic Christians celebrate theirs on January 7th of the year.

The Christmas celebration in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is called Ganna or Genna. Most people go to Church on Christmas day. Merry Christmas to all the Ethiopians out there.
