NAMIBIA'S NANDI-NDAITWAH BECOMES FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT AS SHE WINS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has  made history as Namibia’s first female president-elect, set to take office on March 21, 2025. She won the 2024 presidential election as the candidate for the ruling SWAPO party.

– *Minister of Environment and Tourism* from 2010 to 2012

– *Minister of Information and Broadcasting* from 2005 to 2010

– *Minister of Women Affairs and Child Welfare* from 2000 to 2005

She has been a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 1990 and has played a key role in the country’s politics for over three decades. Nandi-Ndaitwah is widely respected for her leadership skills and her commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and development.
