Ariokot Faith Patricia Achieves The Guinness World Record For The Longest Tree Hug
Ugandan environment activist and founder of Faith in Trees Ariokot Faith Patricia has managed to achieve the Guinness World Record for the Longest Tree Hug
This was Faith’s second attempt, as her first try on December 8th, 2023, was unsuccessful due to a camera malfunction that resulted in the omission of a few minutes from the recording.
On the 29th of December 2023, Faith made her second attempt in Soroti, successfully surpassing Adrienne Long’s previous record of ten hours and five minutes set in 2020.
However, during her attempt, lightning struck, forcing her to conclude the hug at precisely 15 hours and 19 minutes.
Faith’s footage will now be submitted to the Guinness World Records for review, and upon verification, she will be officially recognized as the holder of the longest tree hug record.
